"The Brightest Star"

Gazing up at the sky you were the brightest star that caught my eye.

Shining up there through the darkest night you always managed to show me the way.

Although I still don't know why your the only star that ever put a twinkle in my eye, and gave me hope.

Put life back in to me, and showed me there's more to just being me.

I look to you for strength and to be my crutch, even when it seems I'm stuck in a rut.

With you I feel my life has just begun, especially when you shined more than the so called sun.

My life has always been taking unusual turns, but with you by my side I'll take it one day at a time just you and I.

The only star that'll ever catch my eye, and the only star that could never let my soul die.

You will always be the brightest star in my eye.
