"Living Nightmare"

Ever felt like life was one of those unescapable dreams?

You know the one's that make you toss and turn in your sleep,

and make you wake up in a cold sweat fustrated,

because you can't sleep.

Or the one's that torment your mind every timeyou slept.

These dreams leave you in paradoxe's not knowing how to react,

or what to think.

One thing's for sure it makes you not want to sleep.

It really gets bad when your awake,

and your haunted by visions of the dreams,

or you start seeing things that you know are not there.

It makes you more aware of everything that goes on around you,

and keeps you on your toes in case anything arises.

At the peak not at the beginning of these dreams,

is when the fear factor sets in.

Not the fear of going back to sleep and dreaming these dreams,

nor the fact of the reoccurring visions that haunt you when your awake.

But the fear factor when you finally realize that those dreams,

that keep plauging you at night,

and the visions that haunt you when your awake,

are all things that can come back to the present,

and eventually come to past.

You see the dreams don't even have to be all together on a night after night thing.

They can come once,

twice,

or maybe three times a year,

but the point is when you dream of it,

it kept you on edge and forces you in a state of paranoia,

probably for a moment or even for the rest of that day.

That person or that thing could be something that you have lost,

or never want to have face again.

But it keeps you looking over your shoulder,

if it ever had a chance to present itself again.

These unescapable dreams are figments from our past,

that one day like it or not were going to have to face.

But since those unescapable dreams come in visions while your awake,

then they don't apply to the term "unescapable dreams."

They are now what I like to call the "Living Nightmare."

The living nightmares are war wounds from the past,

that reminds us that the past can easily at anytime come back,

and haunt us in the present.
